"Everywhere" - A Musical Analysis

Image
As soon as anyone asks me who my favorite band is, I always think of Fleetwood Mac first. "Everywhere" was a hit song written and sung by Christine McVie for Fleetwood Mac in 1987. It once again became a catchy, popular tune. Everywhere by Fleetwood Mac Lyrics The lyrics contain a sense of optimism and hope, even though they are plain and s...

It reminds us of our strength and courage, and that anything we set our minds to can be achieved. As someone who has lost a younger brother to suicide and reflects on his internal struggles, it takes on even more meaning to me.  Click on the link below for the complete song and video Kryptonite--3 Doors Down   Lyrics Brad Arnold, the vocalist and drummer of the band, wrote the song lyrics while he was sitting in his Algebra class as a senior in high school. The message of the song reflects friendship and asks the question, "Will you be there for me when I'm down and when I'm doing well?" Arnold remembers that the song was written in just 30 minutes, and the band knew they had a hit on their hands. As soon as the demo became No. 1 on a local radio station for over 15 weeks, it was sent to De Goot Entertainment's Phin D...
