A Little Bit About Me!

 Hello!

I'm Kimberly Kinney, and I've been a resident of Alaska for the past 2 years. My husband and I are happily married, and we have five children ranging in age from 29 to 11. We also have four grandchildren who we absolutely adore. I love living in Alaska and have enjoyed exploring the many beautiful sights and experiences the state has to offer. Additionally, I enjoy traveling and listening to music whether it be live, in my vehicle, on the TV, or on the Bluetooth speaker on my patio. Music always improves my mood and adds a pleasant ambiance to my surroundings.

It has been my privilege to have a couple of my children learn to play an instrument, despite never having the opportunity to do so myself. I am looking forward to my youngest daughter's performance at UAF in December with the Fairbanks Youth Orchestras. Performers of all kinds inspire me, whether they play instruments, sing, or dance. It's wonderful to attend live concerts and feel the energy that the artist is giving off in their performance.  One of my favorite live performances was when Ann Wilson from Heart covered "Stairway to Heaven" by Led Zeppelin. To add to the excitement, she performed the timeless hit song in front of them. I was in tears throughout this performance.

  2. I studied that performance so carefully this spring, particularly the first section when it was just the two sisters. I taught a ukulele lesson on how to present this song, and this performance really helped me do my arrangement. So glad you liked it, too.
